Zbierane są tam m.in. dokumentacje prac i działań współczesnych artystek. Bildwechsel zachęca polskie artystki do wysyłania swojego portfolio do archiwum (np. w postaci cd-r/dvd).

For the forthcoming "Queersicht" festival we are interested in productions that raise and question issues regarding "Eastern Europe". We would like to show work that explores the voices, the views and the situations of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people from Central and Eastern Europe. For this reason we would like to invite you to submit work that refers to this context / engages with these issues.
Language based films in languages other than German or English need to have subtitles or a short description that can be printed and copied in German or English for the audience in Berne to understand them.
Plus: A cooperation of three to take place in two locations in Switzerland:
bildwechsel (Hamburg), Salecina Foundation (Salecina, Maloja) and queersicht (Berne) are cooperating in the film festival announced above, as well as in the following:
Workshop: 'Warming Up For Exchange: Film, LGBT Human Rights, and East-West-European Activism': Before the Festival starts, we will meet in Salecina (www.salecina.ch) for a 4-day-workshop with guests from Central- and Eastern European countries and colleagues from everywhere, and with Claudia Koltzenburg (co-editor of an Amnesty International study on LGBT Human Rights in German (1999-2002) and with Chris Regn, artist, (www.bildwechsel.org
). For details on the workshop please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
This year and for this issue queersicht is cooperating with both Claudia Koltzenburg and with bildwechsel, a 25 year-old non-profit international umbrella organisation for women/media/culture based in Hamburg. Bildwechsel is home to different archives including film and video work that spans the last 30 years. They are interested in your work for their archives.
Last year bildwechsel visited Warsaw, Krakow and Bratislava and started an excursion and a research on eastern european video and film production 15 years ago. They presented videos from the archives, information about the activities of bildwechsel* and a glimpse into the panorama of the collections - with material in different media and formats on issues such as: women artists, transgender, feminism, groups and activists.
This connection with bildwechsel is a good chance for you to make links and share information with them, and to make sure your work is represented in the archives: please bring or send information about your work, fanzines, videos, catalogues, books or copies. They would be enchanted!
* bildwechsel is an umbrella organisation for women and their representation in media culture and art. we are a meeting point, open stage, platform and an infrastructure which women can tap into to share, support and develop their work/ projects/ideas - in connection with the work of others and drawing on their knowledge and experience. we have our background in the feminist critical media movement that started in the 70's, in the field of representation and gender-role science developed in the 80's and 90's, and in the queer and transgender communities and the women's projects scene.
We work as an art project, we develop and support events and initiatives and hold archive collections on women/media/art. we aim to present a panoramic view of the work of women artists. we are concerned with the concept of woman, artist, authorship and anonymity and this interest informs the ways we work.
for videos, films, fanzines, catalogues, music....
Individuals and groups can view the videos/films from the archive, collected and archived across a wide range of categories, in bildwechsel itself, under technically optimum conditions (on-site viewing is an option exclusively available to women). We also offer advice to those interested in media, women working in the field, festivals, women artists and others with questions, both in Germany and abroad.
Bildwechsel is always looking for current film and video productions and other entries by professional amateurs and random observers to be on show in the archives and at bildwechsel activities, and to be shown as requested to interested festival organizers, scientists and every other person that is making an appointment.
Do send us material about you and your work articles, publications, artists biography / statements etc and, of course, copies of your films or videos.
We'd like to get to know you.
